For New Families

Pack 256 Calendar 2022-2023

Online application for New Scouts

New to Cub Scouts? Here’s how we work.

Youth who join Pack 256 are divided into dens based on their grade level. We are welcoming both boys and girls, though they will have separate dens.

Kindergarten: Lions

1st Grade: Tigers

2nd Grade: Wolves

3rd Grade: Bears

4th and 5th Grade: Webelos

Activities at our twice-monthly pack meetings include crafts, games, field trips, community service events, hikes, and skits or songs. They all build toward achieving the next rank.

We generally have a pack hike or camping trip once per month. All of our activities are open to the entire family!

Why choose Scouting?

The Scouting program instills character and develops life skills. The Scouts teach values outlined in the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

And we do it primarily through outdoor experiences — hiking and camping — and by giving you, the parent opportunities to form lasting memories with your son or daughter.
